+++ Work by Friedrich Cerha will be premiered at the Klangspuren Festival +++

On 10 September, Friedrich Cerha's Quintet for oboe and string quartet will be premiered in Innsbruck by members of the Ensemble Modern and Hans Holliger.

+++ Friedrich Cerha will receive the International Composition Award Salzburg +++

During the Salzburg Biennial 2011, Friedrich Cerha will be honoured with the award, as the cultural attaché of the federal state of Salzburg, Mag. David Brenner, announced during a press conference on 4 August.

Friedrich Cerha is the third recipient of the price after Salvatore Sciarrino (2006) and Klaus Huber (2009). The award ceremony and a special concert focusing on the awardee's work will take place during the Salzburg Biennial in March 2011.
